Is this save the date website really free?
Yes, it's free forever. You get a public shareable link like guests.camera/std/emma-liam-2026. Login is required so you can return and edit your page anytime – your email is stored as owner, pages are public but only you can edit/delete.
Do guests need an app?
No. Your save-the-date page works on any phone or computer. Guests just open the link.
Can I collect wedding photos with this?
Yes. After you create your save-the-date page, we recommend you also create a free QR for guest photo collection at Guests.camera. Your guests can upload photos straight to your Google Drive, no accounts.
Can I customize the link?
Yes. You choose the slug, e.g. /std/sarah-david-2026. If it's taken we will ask you to pick another. Keep it short, lowercase, hyphen separated. Slug cannot be changed after creation to keep links stable – you can create a new one and delete old.
Can I add a photo?
Yes, upload a cover photo under 1MB. We store it securely. If you don't upload, your page will show a beautiful default style with your names and countdown.
How does editing work?
Login with Google or magic link email. Once you create a page, it's linked to your account (profile_id). You can edit at /tools/save-the-date/[slug]/edit or /std/[slug]/edit. Only the owner (auth.uid() = profile_id) can update/delete via RLS. Public can only view.
